The Basics Of Choosing Lighting For Your Wedding

Blog

Once you choose your wedding venue, it's time to get to business narrowing down all of the details to make sure that your day turns out to be as magical as possible. One of the biggest things to consider (and one of the things that's often overlooked), is wedding lighting. Wedding lighting will help create the ultimate mood for your entire day, and it will show off in all of your pictures.

Choose Your Lighting By Style

Every bride and groom have a style and choosing the right lighting is a great way to portray it.

Modern:

Modern weddings are all about sleek design and minimal clutter. One of the best ways that you can create that mood with lighting is to illuminate the entire wedding venue in fun lights that get more dramatic as the night gets darker. For instance, while natural lighting may be nice for the beginning of the night as it gets darker, you can have LED lights light up the dance floor, illuminate flower arrangements on the table, or you can even have large colorful lights strung across the venue.

Romantic:

One of the best ways for you to get a romantic look with lighting is to use rose-colored lights or warmer toned strands of lights that can be strewn across the ceiling, the outdoors, or the backdrop of where you want your photos to be taken.

Rustic:

Rustic lighting tends to be fairly similar to romantic lighting, but rather than small strands of lights that create a more delicate look. Rustic weddings are best achieved with market lights which are larger outdoor lights that can be used both indoors and outdoors. Another idea is to put small tea lights inside of rustic accessories like mason jars or paper bags that light the pathways or that you can put on your tables.

Classic:

Classic lighting is typically easier to achieve for a lot of wedding planners because you just need traditional styles of lighting like candles on all of the tables. However, if you want to really add a big flare, consider having large chandeliers hung throughout the venue (both indoors or outdoors) to give off the ultimate wedding glow.

Planning a wedding may be one of the most stressful things that you have done until now, but it doesn't have to be when you have the proper people helping you. To learn more, reach out to a wedding and event lighting company near you.

Interior Designs: Reviving Wallpaper, Vinyl Stickers and Printed Patterns

Hi, my name is Carole, and I am still in love with a lot of the decorative ideas that surrounded me in my childhood during the late 1970s and early 1980s. I love shag carpeting, patterned wallpaper and wild couch prints that look like they match your bell bottoms. However, I am not stuck in the past. Instead, I have learned to integrate these passions into my overall sense of style. If you want to learn how to integrate the best design ideas from previous decades into your home decor without making your home seem old or dated, please explore. This blog is going to cover all of the tips you need.
